We have a wide number of policies and procedures in place to support, develop and protect our employees. These include family friendly policies, our expectations around standard of performance and behaviour at work, together with our equal opportunities policy which demonstrates the commitment we have for valuing diversity and dignity at work.  Developing and promoting our people is at the heart of what we do. We are keen to support employees through professional qualifications and other training to improve performance and engagement.

Employee well-being is critical to the business and we invest in private medical insurance for all employees and have an employee assistance programme so employees can seek free confidential advice at times when they may require additional support. We have a flexible approach to the working space and seek to ensure a healthy working environment such as the provision of standing desks where required. Employees are encouraged to use their lunch break to participate in various sports such as football and running and there is always fresh fruit available in the kitchen.


We encourage our employees to make a positive contribution to society and, as a business, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we operate. We have three initiatives which form part of our charitable initiatives policy.

Matched Giving

Every member of staff is entitled to claim up to £1,000 in each financial year through our Matched Giving Scheme. We will match every pound our people raise for registered charities of their choice up to a maximum of £1,000 per year.


We offer the opportunity for all staff to take paid time off to volunteer their time and knowledge for a charitable initiative.

Company Charity of the Year

Each year we will have a “Stenprop Charity of the Year”. We will give everyone the opportunity to nominate a charity to become the “Stenprop Charity of the Year”, and will focus on supporting the work of the chosen charity.


We are focused on reducing the environmental impact of our business and assets. Examples of this include our focus on improving the energy performance of our buildings as measured through the new Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) requirements.  We strive to ensure all our buildings have a minimum EPC rating of E or higher for vacant units. We are also constantly monitoring and seeking to roll out other initiatives that will help reduce our carbon footprint. We are currently assessing the feasibility of installing solar panels on certain assets and assessing other means to provide cheaper electricity from renewable sources. We are adopting an online platform for leases which reduces the amount of paper used.

Within our own offices we have accessible recycling bins and have reduced the amount of paper being used with “follow me” printing. We also have glasses and mugs for water and hot drinks which reduces the disposal of non-biodegradable items.
