We encourage our employees to make a positive contribution to society and, as a business, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we operate.
We have three initiatives which form part of our charitable initiatives policy.
1. Matched Giving
Every member of staff is entitled to claim up to £1,000 in each financial year through the Matched Giving Scheme. Every pound raised by any employee for any registered charities of their choice is matched by us.
We offer the opportunity for all staff to take paid time off to volunteer their time and knowledge for a charitable initiative. A number of our employees regularly participate in mentoring programmes for young people in their respective field of expertise.
3. Company Charity of The Year
Each year we will have a “Stenprop Charity of the Year”. We will give everyone the opportunity to nominate a charity to become the “Stenprop Charity of the Year”, and will focus on supporting the work of the chosen charity. This year’s charity is the Bokamosa Education Trust, aiming to provide world-class education and mentoring to some of the most disadvantaged children in South Africa.
